Chicken & Apple Skewers with Onion Glaze

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes.

Thread alternating pieces of chicken and apple onto the skewers.

Heat cooking oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add finely diced onion and minced garlic, cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add sugar and water to the saucepan, stir until sugar dissolves and sauce thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Brush skewers lightly with cooking oil.
